little things with BIG love

As we approach Declan's birthday and consequently the 1st anniversary of his passing, Nathan and I wanted to focus on the good we could do in honor of him instead of allowing ourselves to be overwhelmed with sorrow.   We are starting a project that we are calling...
the "little things with BIG love" campaign.

Declan blessed us with his life for 12 weeks and 4 days and to remember the happiness and joy he brought into our lives on a daily basis, we are asking people to commit random acts of kindness in memory of him starting the week of November 18th (his birthday).

The details....

1.) 1 random act of kindness each week from November 18th through February 10th.
We ask that you take a photo of you and your family committing your act of kindness and email them to myself at declansdreamers@gmail.com so we can post your photos and create a video to showcase the kindness done in memory of Declan and how far one little boys impact can reach!
However if you feel uncomfortable doing this, please know you don't have to in order to participate in 'little things with BIG love"

2.) Starting on February 11th, we want to kick it up a notch and are asking that you do 1 random act of kindness each day through February 14th (Declan's angel date).
Again, please take photos and email them to me if you want!  :)

3.) To each random act of kindness you commit, attach a card explaining our "little things with BIG love" campaign so people know what's going on.
Download your "little things with BIG love" tags now:

4.) Get as many people involved as you can!  Share this with your friends, co-workers, church family, online network of friends... talk about it on Facebook, tweet about it, email it to your friends and family... whatever and however, please help us get the word out! I know together with can cover the world with kindness in memory of our sweet Declan Lloyd!!

Thank-you for helping us honor Declan's memory!

  5. Started early. i was at dinner with my daughter at Mickey's Diner in St Paul last night. a homeless man started talking to me. i don't know if he even had enough money for his coffee. as i was talking to him i thought of little things with Big Love and random acts of kindness and bought him dinner.

  6. Yesterday 1-10-13 I was in Worthington MN and My 4 month old daughter had pottied through her diaper and all over herself. We had gone into the bathroom at shopko to change her and in the changing thable I seen a Walmart giftcard with a note attached to remember Declan. I want to thank who ever left it there as that will help my children who are 2 in April and 4 months on the 19th. I am a single mom so that random act of kindness was helpful and will go for a good thing. I plan on continuing the random act of kindness in rememberence of Declan for someone else who is in need. Again Thank you for that and his story has touched my heart and brought tears to my eyes. You and your family will be kept in my prayers
